A beautiful story, KT. Did you ever go back? I'm hoping MS will post details of his trip there outside of the official stuff. Have the local's perceptions of US changed so much (thx to past 8 years) vs. the time you were there? Certainly individual “stars” always draw affection, from Clinton and Obama to Jolie. But for overall imagery, has there been an “innocence lost”, or was that ever there – we've always been viewed through a neutral lens?
