Liveblogging Tonight!
Starting some time after 7 p.m. Eastern, I'll be liveblogging the President's 100 Days news conference. Here's the link where you can find me. And I'll be testing out some new software, so wish me luck.
-
1
Yea!
-
2
Aaaaannndd....
What are the drinking words? -
3
I know that I need to get blasted so I'll say the word ought to be confident.
-
4
For those who do not wish to get smashed I would suggest cooperation
-
5
KT: Good luck and thanks for all the threads today. For the drinking word may I suggest swine. Referring to republicans, not the flu.
-
6
"Economy" for me.
-
7
How about "bi-partisan"?
.
Won't that be good for even a minor buzz? -
8
Can we take a snort every time the camera pans to show the Repubs sitting on their hands during an applause line?
-
9
Not to get all metaphysical on everybody...but can the cameras pan the GOP side and show the Grim Reaper moving from GOPer to GOPer? The word can be next.
-
10
afguy and sacred: it's a news conference, so there won't be a GOP side. (okay, commenters, i've left myself wide open for a tidal wave of snark. go to it.)
-
11
Karen,
.
As much as you've left yourself open, I'll abstain.
.
You interact with us too much - take this as a token of our appreciation.
.
Next time, though . . . -
12
However, since this is a new conference . . .
.
How about a drink every time a reporter from the MSM asks him to respond to what is almost word-for-word a GOP talking point? -
13
Hey, guys, the new sortware lets me post comments into the blog. I've already done it with Joe's, as a test. So maybe we can make this even more fun. Or I will get all confused and completely screw it up. Boy, no drinking for me tonight...
-
14
Aw, c'mon, Karen. Live a little. Push the envelope!
.
What could be more brave and adventuresome than trying out new software while at least "two sheets to the wind"? -
15
By gum, KT, there's half of my comment right there in the blog! If I weren't hiding behind an alias, I'd feel like half a celebrity!
That must be some great newfangled "sortware" you got there.
Aaaaannndd....
I dibs "100 days". Being a literal lightweight, I don't expect to last long anyway. -
16
I suggest economy, middle class, responsibility as 3 good words to get one lit up.
.
I also predict that Chuck Todd and Jake Tapper will ask dumb questions. Call it a "hunch". -
17
it's a news conference, so there won't be a GOP side
.
All you need is to splice in footage of a big-boobied white man droning "tax cuts" over and over, anyway. -
18
I also predict that Chuck Todd and Jake Tapper will ask dumb questions. Call it a "hunch".
.
trifecta55,
.
I also have a "hunch" that the sun will rise in the east and set in the west. -
19
OK, I see the whole comment there now. Now, like the comment, I feel complete.
-
20
I will do the GOP response for you all.
.
We need to work on a freedom agenda, with more responsibility, tax relief, limited government and balanced budgets. If only we ever get a shot at power, we will do those things. Honest. -
21
I think the drinking phrase should be "some may say"
-
22
KT: I'll send you something nice for Christmas if you wear a GOP hat and drink from a bottle in a paper bag.
-
23
KT:
.
Boy, no drinking for me tonight...
.
Don't worry, Ana Marie Cox will most certainly be making up for what you're missing in the way of necessary alcoholic refreshments. -
24
KT - Here's a question for the Prez:
"Do you think the next 100 days will be more challenging or less challenging?"
Just to see how fast and smoothly he dances . . .
C'mon . . . it'd be fun!
-
25
vast et al: Alas, I will be here in my office at the keyboard. MS will be the one at the news conference.
