Check this out, bring up any substantive issue and a Republican instead of staying on the topic will simply try to change the subject to something a Democrat did. They just want you to engage the topics that THEY choose because when it comes to what is going on in the world today they got nothing. I once had a someone with a Masters from Harvard Divinity tell me that, after intensely studying Christianity, many of that university program's graduates 'belief' is more of an exercise in ego preservation...i.e., if they don't believe, then where's their special place in the universe?

What's interesting to me though is that almost all people of wingnuttery, in this and other countries, were born into it. They feel it's their place. I think people who are honest enough to ask themselves questions are more likely to be open and tolerant.

I'm still waiting for someone to explain to me why good Catholic politicians have to actively work to pass secular laws that strip women of their reproductive rights to be "sufficiently pro-life."
