Still Waiting on NY-20
As expected, yesterday Democrat Mike Quigley handily won the Chicago congressional seat vacated by Rahm Emanuel. But more than a week after the special election to replace new Senator Kirsten Gillibrand in the House, no winner has been determined because the votes for Democrat Scott Murphy and Republican James Tedisco are virtually tied.
That should change today when more than 6,000 absentee ballots are counted. Nate Silver has taken a look at what parts of the district those absentee ballots come from and thinks they slightly favor Democratic candidate Murphy. Of course, if today's count yields a definite winner, campaign junkies needn't despair. We'll always (?) have Minnesota.

What is it about Dems and absentee military ballots? -

What is it about throwing turds in hopes that some will stick to the wall?

PD, are you saying that the problems outlined in the article I linked aren't problematic? Are they not relevant to this blogpost. You're an ass.

spob not to belittle your concern about military mail infringing the voting rights of military personnel, but why do you direct your anger about this at PD, I don't hear you throwing a fit at the private contractors that fail to get the mail here on time. You people really need to make up your mind, either private industry is better than government or its not, before military mail was outsourced the time allotted for absentee ballots seemed to be enough.

OK, Amy Sullivan, now that I've jacked up your thread count, will you interact with your commenters? Thought not.

Just FYI

And PD thats just what people do who are desperate for attention. Like the monkeys at the zoo. -

And what is it about the Bush Administration and torture? I just don't understand why the two always seem to be connected.

And what is it about Barbara Bush being on the dollar bill?

Sg, read the NR article--the charge is that the consent decree didn't do enough.
.
And no Dee, you stupid idiot, you f'in idiot, military absentee voters have been getting screwed for a long time. Remember, Florida 2000, when "patriotic" Dems were challenging military absentee ballots because the military had not done a postage stamp and other BS crap relating to when the guys received their ballots, or have you forgotten about that? Military absentee voters getting screwed was a big f'in deal in Florida. Dems fought to disqualify ballots--that's a matter of public record, and it was shameful. And take a look at what was going on in Pennsylvania in 2004.Getting mail to ships at sea etc. is a difficult difficult challenge, and I can speak from personal f'in experience that it takes time, and 25 days is not f'in enough, you idiot. The bottom line is that Dems voted to make it more difficult rather than less difficult for military voters to be heard, you stupid wench. That's your party, not mine. And your attempt to shift the blame from careerists at Justice and the slimeball dems on the election board is pathetic and shows that you are a stupid ideologue.
.And perhaps Dee, you f'in moron, you would see that my response to PD was for him stating that my post was flinging a turd. I get to respond in kind, you idiot. Do the world a favor, dummy, keep your yap shut, as you reduce the collective knowledge of the world every time you open your mouth.
-

The deparmet of Justice sues in order to override the 2 Democrats who are apparently solely responsible for the problem, and a National review contibuter brags about how much better he would have done it. And we're suppose to condemn all Democrats based on that?
.
I stand by my assertion. spob throws turds and hopes they stick. He also never addresses any post that demonstrates when he's spreading lies. -

Do the world a favor, dummy, keep your yap shut, as you reduce the collective knowledge of the world every time you open your mouth.

Dee is rubber and you are glue. It bounces off her and sticks to YOU! -
15
What's pathetic is that it took spooge 28 minutes to come up with that post.

16
I get to respond in kind, you idiot.
.
Actually, no, you don't. But keeping making amusement for the rest of us, by all means. -
17
PD, you really are f'in stupid aren't you. This is not an isolated incident, see, e.g., Florida 2000 and Pa. 2004. DOJ went for wet noodle enforcement. And I notice that the Dem candidate for Congress didn't call off the dogs either.
.And you guys defend this crap?
-

"you stupid idiot" "you f'in idiot" "you idiot" " you are a stupid ideologue" "you f'in moron" "you idiot" "dummy"
.
And SG has the temerity to suggest republicans are like monkeys flinging poo. -
19
Sometimes, Paul, calling them as I see 'em gets that. Look how utterly stupid Dee's response was. She attempts to shift the blame to military contractors when Dems fought to make it harder for military guys to vote. That's stupid and obnoxious, hence the response. Or are you too stupid to pick up on Dee's idiocy.

.Murphy's campaign was quick with its own vote of approval for the suit.
.
“Scott Murphy wants to ensure every vote counts in this special election, especially the votes of our fighting men and women in uniform overseas. Scott supports any action to ensure their votes are counted,” spokesman Ryan Rudominer said. -

Paul D

Thats not just any Corner contributer. Thats the guy who tried to disenfranchise black voters in Georgia by requiring photo ID to vote. And he was also Bush's interim FEC guy. Definitely not somebody whose word you should just take as unbiased or even credible. -
23
God, SG, you are gulllible aren't you. There's a difference between bowing to the inevitable wet noodle treatment (me tooism without suffering any consequences) and pushing hard for every military voter to get a fair chance at having his vote heard.
.
And voter ID is racist now? Ok, gotcha SG. -
24
By the way did yall realize that the Republican who opposed Quigly to try to get Rahm's old seat actually used to be a blogger for free republic? Yeah they found some of her old posts and it needless to say it was ridiculous. Major racist and xenophobe. But the best part of the story is you have to remember that she actually WON A REPUBLICAN PRIMARY just to get to face Quigly in the general. That tells you that the Republicans are truly plumbing the bottom of the barrel these days.
