I just keep picturing Roland Burris' mausoleum. This story has a life of its own. Any idea when Fitzgerald's investigation is going to be public? I am beginning to get rather annoyed at him for sprinkling just enough information to cause trouble, then disappearing back into the shadows.

Does anyone really care about this except maybe people in his state?

There ought to be bipartisan consensus that this guy has moved from doddering old fool to scheming crook. Good riddance.

joyomama, the whole mausoleum thing kind of raised my eyebrows as well. Frankly, getting chosen by Blagoyevich in itself is not a real positive sign for one's career.

The question isn't whether this is news, surely it is. The question is if its some kind of earth shattering news, surely it isn't. Show of hands, is anybody shocked or surprised or dissappointed in Roland Burris because of this? Im not. Nothing about his handling of this whole situation lent any credibility to the notion that he was going to be some great public servant for the people of Illinois. I really want to see a quote from someone somewhere in this country who is actually crushed over all this and that has lost their faith in poltiicians because of Roland Burris. I don't think that kind of idiot exists many places in this country anymore. At least not many that vote Democrat.
