Media Matters points out how idiotic Michael's post is:
.

Got that? Caroline Kennedy's public approval in New York is slipping because Michael Wolff's biography of Rupert Murdoch -- a book that Scherer's source says nobody is talking about -- contains a passage in which Rupert Murdoch asked Gary Ginsberg to get Kennedy to write a letter of recommendation for Murdoch's daughter.
.
Yeah, right.

.
And by extension, the mentality of the village. Halperin, politico. They are wanting for brain cells, apparently.
Media Matters - A bit of a stretch ...

Talk about group think the only reason people have decided to dump on Caroline is because the msm decided to dump on Caroline. Now that Palin supposedly went home so the media decide they would make them a new one. After all Teddy is dying so nothing to fear there. Please a t least call it what it is, they decided that a woman should have to jump through more hoops. In one breath we marvel at Obama's academic background, his ability to raise money and say that it trumps inexperience. Well Caroline has similar academic background, a constitutional scholar and his the ability to raise money so what's the difference?

Funny mistake. Chicago.
.
The ten big states' governors are usually mostly known. Interesting governors--women like Sibelius or Napolitano, celebrity like Jesse Ventura, or independents like Angus King in Maine.
.
It says something, I think, that NYC, Chicago, LA mayors may be more prominent than their governors. Giuliani certainly more prominent than Pataki.

Actually, there are only a few state's governors that the whole country is likely to know. NY for sure. California. Where else? Alaska?

queen, cliff, and aaron, my sentiments exactly. Not being from NY upper state and lower state means little to me (although really I do understand). So, it's your pick Patterson. Just do it already. Let's end this empty debate.

Mark Green, the only democrat I couldn't bring myself to vote for when I was a New Yorker.
.
I went to a fundraiser for him when he ran against D'Amato. What an unpleasant man he was. i was just in Albany on a citizen lobbying trip with some other people. Green's name came up as possibly running for public advocate. One comment was "He's run a lot. He's lost a lot. At some point, shouldn't it become clear to him that there's a reason for that."
