Can You Spare A Room?

We've been reading all these stories about how hard it is going to be to find accommodations in DC next month. Now ABC News tells us that among those looking for a place to stay are ... the Obamas.

  1. Confusing first there is this-
"the Blair House says that they are ready for the Obamas whenever -- if ever -- they choose to come, yet they have no idea when that will be. They also confirm that there are no other foreign dignitaries scheduled to stay at the Blair House for the duration of the Bush administration."
    Then this
"Still, the White House insists that, regardless of the set-up, the dates are non-negotiable, as is tradition.

“Blair House is available for them on January 15th,” says Sally McDonough, spokeswoman to Laura Bush."
Oh well it's just to get the kids in school, no reason for the Bush's to start showing class at this point.

  2. I've had this slogan-in-waiting:
Spare Change You Can Believe In
But I'm still having trouble finding the situation it really fits.

  3. How about Hillary's Georgetown digs? The secret service already knows the place, and it would be a good pr move for Hillary and Barack,

  4. KT -- Time to make Mr. Swamp sleep on the couch and have the swamp kids farmed out for a sleep over so you can host the Obamas and get an "exclusive."
    .
A sacrifice all in the name of journalism.

  5. I just got word this morning that I got two tickets to the swearing-in ceremony!!!! I live in Idaho, this is very exciting. I'll happily be in the same boat as the Obamas, searching for a place to stay (although I tend to think they'll have much better luck, lol).

  6. Just one more in a long list of reasons why W. should go ahead and move the hell out of Washington all together. This "change" simply cannot come soon enough.

  7. ====off topic, maybe

In Our World of a Successful Obama:
"Many Insisting That Obama Is Not Black"

In The World of a Despicably unSuccessful Obama:
Many Insisting That Obama Is Black

    Welcome to USA.
    Welcome to Western "Civilization".
