Waxman Wins the First Round
The House Democratic leadership's Steering and Policy Committee has narrowly backed California Congressman Henry Waxman in his bid to oust John Dingell as chairman of the House Energy and Commerce Committee, which has an extraordinarily wide swath of turf over energy, environmental and health legislation. But don't count Dingell out, when the full caucus votes tomorrow.

Well, there's the diff between the House and the Senate – the former is at least willing to consider something other than the worst possible course.

My money is on Waxman -- couple that with a new chairman of the environment and public works committee in the senate and we might really get something done on energy and climate change.
