Sarah Palin's Book Deal
Look at it this way. She'll be able to afford her own clothes:
She failed to save John McCain from presidential election doom, but Sarah Palin, the Republican senator's controversial running mate, may yet emerge as the saviour of the American publishing industry. Literary agents are queueing up to sign her to a book deal that could earn her up to $7m.

Will it have pictures you can color in?

KT -- Tell me who you think will ghost write it? She can't string words together to form complete sentences.
.
Perhaps there's some aspiring writer, now unemployed, formerly of Focus on the Family.
.
You should read Dick Cavett's opinion piece in the NY Times

KT -- Who will ghost write for her? She can't put words together to form a complete sentence. Some out of work writer from Focus on the Family.
.
Did you read D!ck Cavett's blog The wild wordsmith from Wasilla."http://cavett.blogs.nytimes.com/2008/11/14/the-wild-wordsmith-of-wasilla/

No, it's GOTTA be paper dolls!

Incompetence is a career move.

Note to High Sheriffs: certain links I post just evaporate.

"Will it have pictures you can color in?"
I'm imagining something that comes with a pack of those toddler markers that will only color on special paper.
-
9
CP -- She has reached her highest level of incompetence. You might call it the pinochle of her career.
-

7 million is a good price. I wonder how much the ghostwriter will get. Was anyone able to find something she's written? She was a journalism major, so there should be some old campus newspaper articles she wrote.
-
11
Actually, I'd be more likely to buy it if she really did use her own words instead of a ghost writer. Put it on the shelf next to my Jesse Helms quotes. All the better if she just dictates, so she never sees it on paper first.
-
12
I wish it would be written the way she talks. That would be fun.
-
13
Say her name three times in the mirror and she's come kill you, oh wait that's Bloody Mary...same diff right?
-
14
You have to be older to appreciate this. Norm Crosby and Professor Irwin Corey will ghost write for her.
-
15
Her own book might be the first one she's ever read.
-
16
Si I trust she's shopping for her ghostwriter as we speak.
-
17
Is she going to include the torrid "whip and chain" scenes from her days as dominatrix for McCain?
-
18
Hmmm. Only $1 million short of Hillary's advance.
-
19
Not true, SBG. There is the Holy Bible. I'm sure Sarah has read that.

Paul Dirks - Does Saks or Nieman-Marcus have ghost writer departments?
-

There is the Holy Bible. I'm sure Sarah has read that...
I seriously doubt it. Most Christianists are unfamiliar with the whole text and rely on others to pick out the bits that reinforce their hatreds while ignoring the sections that deal with redemption and forgiveness.
-
22
PD, I was being snarky about reading the Bible. I agree with you.
-
23
Yeah, what Paul Dirks said. They're vaguely aware of some of Leviticus, some of Paul's letters, and a smattering of the rest of it. But reading it all the way through-- no, she's more familiar with John Birch material than anything Jesus taught.
-
24
Oh. Well, piling on after the concession of snarkiness. How un-Christlike of me.
-
25
I wouldn't expect anything less from you, Elvis.
