Just a Guy Who Lives in the Neighborhood
From this morning's first pool report:
Pool Report
Amy Chozick
The Wall Street Journal. As your pooler waited for Barack Obama to arrive at the Beluah Shoesmith Elementary School, Bill Ayers showed up with his wife to cast his vote. Newsweek's Richard Wolffe first noticed Ayers. Your pooler confirmed his identity after yelling out "Mr. Ayers, who did you vote for?" He turned around but did not answer. An official from the Chicago elections board told your pooler sternly not to yell at the polling station.

prediction
.
By noon FoxNews will be saying Ayers pulled up in a limo with Barack Obama to vote and they were holding hands as they walked into the polling station.
.
Talk about your bad timing -
2
Talk about timing, SG. Most people will be waiting in line at the polls, so they won't see Fox News. My guess, they won't mention it.
-
3
Let's all ignore this thread.
-
4
#13 voter in my district. That was the reward for arriving 35 minutes before the polls opened. Line was a couple hundred people long when I walked out.
Good luck everyone. -
5
Polling around with terrorists. Please tip your waitress.
-
6
...or at least ignore the lede.
-
7
coffee great line!
PNNTO: Weather report for MN today? Very cold?
-
8
too funny. The terrorist is a person in my neighborhood, in my neighborhood....

Great job doing the early bird thing!
.
We really have to do something about our voting process.
.
Rachel Maddow had a very good segment on this last night
.
How can we be the leaders of the free world when our citizens are made to pay a "time tax" in order to vote.
.
Unacceptable -
10
KT, Please don't forget to let us know what Mr. Ayers will have for lunch as well.
-
11
Andy,
.
Oh FoxNews will mention it early AND often. But I agree that it will have little to no effect.
.
Here is an article I saw from the new republic today about FoxNews. Its pretty interesting because it comes at it from a different perspective than them just repeating GOP talking points.

The G. Gordon Liddy plan to kidnap him didn't work then? Damn.

kathy, all I could do is channel Fred Rogers:
.
It's beautiful day in the neighborhood, a beautiful day for a neighbor, would you be mine?
Won't you be, won't you be, please won't you be my neighbor? -
14
Andy, unseasonably warm. Sunny and mid 60s. Turnout is always heavy but this year will be crazy.
I will be curious to read others experiences as the regulars here vote. -
15
Seven hours until I'm able to line up outside the polling place. I hope it doesn't get too cold tonight.
-
16
BTW Andy,
.
Mika on Morning Joe already mentioned that Ayers was there before Obama. So it will be talked about in some form of fashion -
17
Oh, and Kathy, if we don't encounter each other on Swampland tonight - a terrorist fist bump (full of presumptive victory) to you!
-
18
sg, I'm not a regular viewer but was Scar crazier than normal yesterday and today?
He seems almost divorced from reality.
It amused me. -

SG,
I disagree with TNR's assessment of Fox news. Ratings will out. If viewership starts to decline, expect to see a shift from right to center right.
I never watch, for fear I may throw my shoe at the TV screen. My post election strategy is to watch, identify advertisers, and begin boycotting their products and send letters to their CEOs.
That's what did Imus in. That's the best strategy to negatively impact Fox News.

PNNTO: I am working in NYC this week and already high turnout and long lines in B'klyn, NY not MN. I voted absentee two weeks ago, but if I knew that Ayers and Obama voted at the same polling place....just kidding.
My wife voted early when the polls opened in MA this am, lines were starting to form after she finished. Should be in the low 60s in MA, maybe around 60 in NYC today.

He was about par for the course in the last 3 months. I have sent so many angry emails to the show that I am sure by now I am on some kind of "watch" list. But the thing with Scarborough is that he loves to parrot GOP talking points BUT because he is on an NBC he ends up having the occasional liberal/progressive who wont allow him to push those memes. Thats the only time that he stays in check and even then he gets around it by not talking about that kind of stuff while they are on the set. He waits until he has a sympathetic guest and then its right back to Hannity lite. But its always fun to see someone shut him down like Howard Dean did. -

It feels so great to end this awful era. Now, possible candidates for kite flying society .... That's how today feels to me.
-

"It feels so great to end this awful era."
.
Me too. I've heard that our lines are not expected to be long, but I'm in a Republican district, and my wife and I have wanted to see what happens.
.
We could have voted absentee, all of my kids have, but we wanted to see the final, last gasp efforts (if any), of this foul beast we are about to slay.
.
THIS IS A GREAT DAY! -

Definitely worth noting that the pool reporter in question is the author of THIS gem:
