Joe The Congressman
But perhaps he should pay his back taxes first.

sam is gonna have the problem that KO pointed out some time ago--that people keep the tapes. This is another general problem for republicans. The racist garbage they dish out at some events, but not others, is going to be harder to keep tamped down, as with George Allen and his macaca moment. That's why we're seeing videos of voters trying to tape presentations by candidates that are being disrupted by campaign goons. They can't let what they say to their supporters make its way into the public airwaves.
Michelle Bachman is a case in point. She's toast, because she said stuff in public that would normally not get attention. But now everything can get attention.

They had this clown on a live blog chat with the ultra conservative washinton times today and he actually said Obama made him fear for the country. He is milking his fifteen minutes of fame for all hes got but he also told a bold faced lie in the chat. You might want to call him out about that Joe Klein.

He's already touched the third rail by favoring the abolition of SS. he's just a lying blowhard. Not worth Joe's throwaway post.
So it looks like the comment counter is initialized to zero.

No, just updated infrequently.

Joe, was 1980 anything like this?
One party has descended not just into transparent wrongheadedness, but ineffective wrongheadedness. They're trying the same old routines, making them stupider, less relevant, and louder. And it's all just adding up to a giant pile of embarrassing failure. It's like there's not a single grown-up anywhere in the party.
I've just never seen anything remotely like it.

Ah, wrong again. Comments are in moderation. Jeez. that's all they need.

I was shocked recently to learn that an old high school aquantance was running for Congress in the Illinois 16th District.
A scientist and energy policy expert, Bob received a Bachelor's Degree in Nuclear Engineering from Purdue University and was accepted into the US Navy Submarine Nuclear Weapons program.
Prior to his commission in the Navy, Bob chose to serve his country at Argonne National Laboratory in order to support alternative energy/advanced nuclear reactor development. Bob went on to receive his Masters of Science Degree in Nuclear Engineering from Northwestern University.
For 20 years, Bob worked for ComEd as a Senior Nuclear Engineer, leaving to run RGA Labs, Inc., his own consulting, research-and-development, design and engineering firm. In his capacity as a scientist and engineer, Bob has spent his entire career developing alternative energy, modernizing our military, creating good jobs and improving our environment.
That SORT OF like beinmg a plumber isn't it?

Oh tech folk, please don't worry about leaving my comments in moderation. You've got more than enough to do. It's pretty clear which words are triggering this, and I'll avoid them going forward.

@jayack...
Does that mean we need to use special characters in all our swear words?
-
11
I'll be darned if I can figure out why my previous comment this thread is in the queue...
-
12
Not swear words. Words that have strongly negative connotations regarding truth and equal treatment of people regardless of color and creed.
But if those kinds of regular words are kicking posts into moderation, then I'm sure the profanity will as well. Implementing this on the fly is, shall we say, heroic....

Let's test the profanity filter... fuch fah-q phucyoo

All business is dirty Joe - lets leave it at that.

These comments look very weird.
Wait, we're being moderated? oh noes!
-

Joe (Klein)--JTP has already had the republican faithful pass the hat and they've raised about two grand for his back taxes bill. He should be current now (assuming he's put the cash towards his bill already, anyway).
-
18
We're being moderated. Does that mean we are all now .... moderate? Oh no, centrists!!
-

or he should sign the book deal first.

Joe the ignorance is bliss after McPalin rally.

I guess everyone has heard about the sad news about Radar folding. AMC is apparently willing now to write for food;)
-
23
It shows real restraint to not post AMC's twittering here. At least I think so.
-
24
On the moderating, I assume it's a default setting they haven't gotten around to dealing with.
