An Actual Mob Scene (In The Making)

While there was no mob scene at the Western Wall (per the post below this one), there appears to be the potential for one right below my hotel window. The reason: I'm on the second floor, just above the rear entrance where Obama's motorcade is parked, and people are quickly figuring it out. In the past few minutes (it's about 12:30 p.m. local time), scores of people--some wearing Obama t-shirts and chanting "Yes we can"--have gathered to see if they can catch a glimpse or photo of him as he leaves the building.

Stephanie Kirchner has more about how the city is viewing the visit in this report for TIME.com.

UPDATE: It's just before 5 p.m. here, and the German media is abuzz with rumors that Obama is about to make an unscheduled visit somewhere around town, perhaps to the Brandenburg Gate. That is not true. How do I know? Because I just ran into him as I was getting off the elevator to look for the filing center. He was wearing workout clothes.
