Seeking the "Action" in McCain's "It's Time for Action Tour"
I have a new story up on TIME.com about the policies behind McCain's tour of "forgotten America."
Also, as the Washington Post points out today, it is interesting to note how McCain is now selling tax cuts mostly for high-income Americans (and corporations) as the solution to the economic problems of low-income Americans. Just a few years back, he was saying things like this about the Bush tax cuts, which he now wants to extend: "I'd like to see much more of this tax cut shared by working Americans. . . . I think it still devotes too much of it to the wealthiest Americans."
