Giuliani to Endorse McCain
Even with the ballots still being counted in Florida, The Page is reporting that Rudy Giuliani is ready to throw in the towel and endorse John McCain, possibly as early as tomorrow in California. A Rudy endorsement could seal the deal for McCain in the winner-take-all contests in New York, New Jersey and Connecticut on Super Tuesday. However, given Rudy's stands on abortion, guns and gay rights, his endorsement of McCain would also add some ballast to Romney's central argument going forward -- that of the two remaining contenders for the GOP nomination, he is the more conservative.
