Go-Go Gonzales
One benefit for the administration regarding Gonzales' departure: His continued presence was the strongest evidence against their main defense about the fired US attorneys. As long as he had a job, it was impossible to believe that anyone in the Justice Department could be fired for -- as he claimed the dismissed US Attornery's were -- incompetence.
On MSNBC this morning, one of those attorneys, David Iglesias, said today was a "great day for justice," though he may have meant the department.
