In which the future of the Democratic Leadership Council is discussed.

Interesting sidelight: While Bill Clinton spoke, and was his usual compelling self, at the DLC convention, the guy who really lit up the crowd was Montana Governor Brian Schweitzer, who delivered his usual--brilliant--alternative energy pitch. I've heard him do it four or five times now, and it's smart and fun every time. This is a guy with a future in national politics....and as for the whole DLC controversy, he disposed of it in his first sentence. He said that when a group that size--any group--"asks me to come and speak, I come and speak."
