Rudy Watch
Here's an interesting column from Mike Gerson about Giuliani--whose trajectory this year resembles Hillary Clinton's: both have stayed aloft, despite doubts about the staying power of their candidacies.
I've been resisting the notion that we might have a Rudy v. Hillary general election. It just seemed too New Yorkcentric and, as a rabid New Yorker, I try to remember that a wee bit of the country lives across the Hudson River. But I'm beginning to think, hmmm, there is a possibility we might be headed that way. Which could, in turn, create the rationale for Bloomberg...Nawww.
Caveat: I really don't have any idea how this is going to turn out. It's entirely possible that we'll have an Obama-Romney final or a Gore-Thompson. But still.
