Re: Only Fred Could Go to Nixon

The AP dug into the relationship between Fred (for some reason now called "Fred!" by the wingnutsphere) and Nixon (or, as I like to call him, N!x@n).

Nixon was disappointed with the selection of Thompson, whom he called "dumb as hell." The president did not think Thompson was skilled enough to interrogate unfriendly witnesses and would be outsmarted by the committee's Democratic counsel.

Instead he was outsmarted by Nixon. That's management! Also: So that's what real reporting looks like. I should try it sometime!

And, even then, Fred smelled like Aqua Velva and testosterone: "'He's tough. He's six feet five inches, a big mean fella,' the senator told Nixon."
