Tim Griffin Moves On
From Arkansas comes the sound of another shoe dropping in the Justice Department scandal. Via Amanda Terkel at Think Progress, the Arkansas Times is reporting that Karl Rove protege Tim Griffin has resigned as interim U.S. Attorney for the Eastern District of Arkansas. Griffin got the post after previous U.S. Attorney Bud Cummins was booted to make room for him, in a move the White House helped arrange. The Wall Street Journal reported last week that Griffin is in discussions with Fred Thompson's campaign-to-be about a big job there.
