Today on the Trail: Obama talks foreign policy in Chicago
TotT is a daily rundown of campaign events, compiled by Katie Rooney.
Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) is keeping it local today, delivering his postponed foreign policy speech from last week to the Chicago Council on Global Affairs at the Fairmont Chicago Hotel at 11 a.m. This isn't the first time Obama's made this speech to the group -- he was before them was in November and talked about his idea for the president to gradually reduce troops in Iraq and turn power over to Iraqi forces. But this time he's running for president and with the ongoing congressional battle regarding Iraq and timetables, it should be an interesting speech the second go-around.
Here's where some of the other candidates will be today:
• Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) will be in Washington giving a speech on domestic policy. Then he heads to a fundraiser in Greenwich, Conn.
• Sen. Chris Dodd (D-CT) and Sen. Sam Brownback
• Sen. John Edwards (D-NC) campaigns in Chapel Hill, North Carolina.
