Today on the Trail: Dodd Gains Steam

Sen. Chris Dodd (D-CT) starts the day off in D.C., giving a major policy speech at noon entitled "The New American Prosperity: Innovation and Energy Independence in the 21st Century." Dodd will unveil his comprehensive energy policy plan to the Center for National Policy only a couple days before Earth Day. Later this evening he'll land in New Hampshire to attend a reception honoring state Sen. Betsi DeVries in Manchester.
Here's where some of the other candidates will be today:
New Mexico Gov. Bill Richardson (D) heads to New York City for Rev. Al Sharpton's National Action Network's Annual Convention. He'll speak at the Sheraton New York Hotel at 11:30 a.m. then head to Denison, Iowa where he'll speak to the Carroll Iowa Democrats at the "Give 'm Hell, Harry" dinner at 6:30 p.m.
Sen. Joe Biden (D-DE) is the next to arrive in New York City for Sharpton's convention. He'll speak at 6 p.m. and other Democratic candidates will show up throughout the weekend.
Sen. John McCain (R-AZ) has a fundraising lunch in Denver and will have dinner in Las Vegas at the Venetian Resort Hotel Casino for the Clark County's Lincoln Day.
Former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee will be in New Hampshire. He'll attend a breakfast with Nashua Area Federation of Republican Women at 7:30 a.m. and travel to South Carolina later today.
Former Wisconsin Gov. Tommy Thompson will host a meet and greet breakfast at the University of Iowa in Iowa City at 9:30 a.m.
Sen. John Edwards (D-NC) campaigns in Roanoke, Virginia.
Sen. Barack Obama (D-IL) and Sen. Hillary Clinton (D-NY) will remain in D.C., since the Senate is in session.
